Its always good to look back on the previous year and see which pinatas people loved the most.  No.10: Its everybody's favourite but lets hope our children don't start talking like her...Peppa Pig Pinata. Being a parent usually means glamorous, crazy New Years Eve nights out are a thing of the past but hopefully a thing of the future too. Why not enjoy the middle ground – your children would be delighted to spend the biggest party night of the year in your company. You know your children best and know if they will last the distance until midnight, if not then give them naps during the day or bring the clocks forward two hours and have midnight strike at more manageable 10pm. This trick is great for the younger ones and saved me from some grumpy faces in the past.  At the usual bedtime instead of sending the kids to get their pyjamas on, send them to get their party best on for the rest of the evening. Tis the season to be jolly...... but perhaps one of the more stressful jobs to do with small children is shopping. Mine for sure don't like it and need to be bribed with some nibbles, I make rush decisions and usually spend more than I wish to. I am all for supporting local shops and traders but this is where a bit of internet shopping comes in handy. Put the slippers on, boil the kettle, sit back and browse. Another added bonus is the more unique beautiful products that you cant find in the chain stores and large grocery outlets. Working mams and dads making from the kitchen table much like myself.
