It is in my opinion that we have a beautiful planet and that we should keep it that way. This is why Piñatas Piñatas is willing and eager to do its bit to keep the environment just as beautiful for future generations. I use old newspaper and cardboard when making all of the piñatas to the value of at least 70%. The additional 30% is the outer layer of crepe paper. When sending a piñata to a party I use recycled boxes from local businesses where possible. In addition, as all of the piñatas are made here in Ireland there is no air or land miles attached. As this business grows I endeavour to implement as many eco friendly practices as possible. In Mexico the piñata is a regular feature in family life – so much so that it’s considered bad manners to turn up for Sunday dinner without a piñata and stick in hand. Although the Mexicans have been educated from an early age on the do’s and don’t of piñata busting, they still get the odd ever dreaded bang on the head. So with that in mind I’ve concocted a few tips to piñata busting Blindfold children from the age of five+ Use two blindfolds; while one child is hitting the piñata another will be ready to take next turn without delay. This avoids the children getting restless. Twirl the hitter three times, making sure everybody else is standing well back.
